On-Camera Classes - 2 Weekend IntensivesA SUMMER WORKSHOP ESSENTIALS OF THE 8-WEEK WORKSHOP AT NEARLY HALF THE COST ($295 vs. $495) AND COMPLETED IN TWO DAYS! [Due to their limited space and availability, these seasonal workshops will fill up fast! Do not wait to sign up.] (VISA/MC accepted) This is a power-packed weekend that covers the vital elements of audition technique, on-camera technique and cold-read technique as applied specifically to auditioning for episodic television. A modified version of the 8-Week Intensive On-Camera Audition Workshop (excluding the pilot prep portion, but including important role reversal elements), this 2-day intensive workshop outlines what it means to “nail the audition.” Knowledge becomes power as we deconstruct the audition process piece by piece and then reconstruct it with a newly empowered and informed perspective that works. Workshops run from 9am – 5pm on Saturday with a 50-minute lunch break at 1pm (lunch not provided), and 10am-4pm on Sunday with two 15-minute breaks. Each actor works individually on-camera in 3 separate scenes (2 cold and 1 prepared) that are assigned based on “character type” from recent television scripts throughout the weekend. In order to achieve maximum quality of study and efficiency, class sizes are guaranteed not to exceed 10 actors per workshop. Instructor Christinna Chauncey (Best of L.A. – Acting Coaches, Backstage West) has read hundreds of actors as an associate to a major casting office for television pilots and series. All classes held at Loudmouth Studios in Studio City (Tujunga & Moorpark, right around the corner from the popular Aroma Cafe.) This workshop is ideal for actors who, due to work schedules and other circumstances, are unable to commit to the full 8-Week Workshop schedule. Special 2-day intensive workshop will cover and include: -Cold-read technique (internal & external choices, 20-minute sides prep) -Camera technique (make it work for you in the audition) -Audition technique (what to do and what NOT to do in the room) -Managing nerves (so you can experience freedom in the read) -Role-play reversal & mock producers’ session (you become the writer/producer/director) -Each actor will work on-camera, individually, in 3 separate scenes throughout the workshop -Sides are selected from recent television scripts and assigned to you based on “character type” -On-camera review & video playback -Your on-camera work in class is recorded and supplied to you on ½” VHS tape. *This 2-day workshop is seasonal and not a regularly scheduled/offered class. Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 10am-4pm / Cost: $295 / 50% deposit required (Check, cash, VISA/MC accepted)
